Romans 8:11 declares, “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”

Easter Isn’t Just a Day—It’s a Lifestyle
Too often, we celebrate Easter as a single Sunday, then go back to living as if nothing changed. But what if we embraced resurrection life as our daily reality?
Imagine approaching every challenge with the confidence that resurrection power is working for you. Imagine facing every “impossible” situation knowing that the God who specialises in rolling away stones is on your side.
Living in resurrection power means:
- Walking in victory, not defeat. The empty tomb proves that what looks like the end can actually be a new beginning.
- Expecting miracles, not just hoping for them. If God can raise the dead, what else can He do in your life?
- Embracing divine healing. The same power that restored Jesus’ body can bring restoration to yours.
- Breaking generational curses. The resurrection proved that nothing from the past has to determine your future.
- Living with authority. Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18)—and He extends that authority to believers.
Encountering the Living Christ
Easter isn’t just about remembering a historical event—it’s about encountering the living Christ today.
Have you ever been in a worship service where the presence of God was so real you could almost touch it? Have you witnessed someone being instantly healed? Have you seen a hardened heart suddenly soften to receive God’s love?
These moments aren’t just emotional experiences—they’re encounters with the resurrection power of Jesus.
When we worship, we’re not just singing about a distant God. We’re connecting with the risen Jesus, who is present with us now. When we pray for healing, we’re not just hoping for the best. We’re tapping into the same power that brought Jesus out of the grave.
The Holy Spirit: Resurrection Power Within You
After His resurrection, Jesus promised His followers they wouldn’t be left alone. He would send His Spirit to help and empower them.
That promise was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit fell on believers in a dramatic display of power. Suddenly, ordinary people were doing extraordinary things. The timid became bold. The weak became strong. The doubtful became confident.
This wasn’t a one-time event. The person we call the Holy Spirit—the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead—is available to every believer today.
When you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you’re not just gaining a new experience. You’re being filled with resurrection power. Power to witness. Power to overcome. Power to live a life that defies natural limitations.

Signs, Wonders, and the Supernatural

Jesus promised, “These signs will accompany those who believe” (Mark 16:17). He didn’t say these signs might happen, or they used to happen, or they’ll happen for special people. He said they will accompany believers.
What signs? Healing the sick. Casting out demons. Speaking in new tongues. These aren’t just dramatic stories from the Bible—they’re meant to be normal experiences for those who walk in resurrection power.
When was the last time you expected God to do something supernatural through you? When was the last time you prayed for someone’s healing with the full confidence that the power of the resurrection was at work?
Easter reminds us that our God specialises in the impossible. Death couldn’t hold Jesus, and nothing can hold back His power in your life either.

- Study the Word with new eyes. Don’t just read about what God did—believe He still does those things today.
- Join a community that believes in supernatural power. Surround yourself with people who expect God to move in miraculous ways.
Living as Easter People in a Good Friday World
Let’s be real—we live in a broken world. Pain, suffering, and injustice surround us. Sometimes it feels more like Good Friday than Easter Sunday.
But as believers, we’re called to be “Easter people” even in a Good Friday world. We carry hope when others see only despair. We speak life in the face of death. We believe for breakthrough even when circumstances scream “impossible.”
The early church turned their world upside down because they lived with resurrection confidence. They didn’t just believe Jesus rose from the dead—they lived like it was true. They healed the sick, cast out demons, and boldly proclaimed the gospel, even when it cost them everything.
We’re called to do the same.
This Easter, Experience the Power
As we approach this Easter season, I want to challenge you: Don’t settle for a remembrance when you can have an encounter.
Don’t just celebrate the resurrection—experience it.
Don’t just sing about God’s power—walk in it.
The tomb is still empty. Jesus is still alive. And His resurrection power still changes lives today.

- Get baptised in water if you haven’t already. This powerful act symbolises dying with Christ and being raised to new life.
- Ask for prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ask someone who has been filled with the person and presence of the Holy Spirit to pray with you.
- Share your testimony. Has God done something miraculous in your life? Tell someone about it this week.
- Study the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus. Notice how He transformed the disciples, and consider how He wants to transform you.
Easter isn’t the end of the story—it’s just the beginning. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to you today, tomorrow, and every day that follows.
